Picnic mat, single channel 16:9 video, assorted fabricPATCH PICNIC consists of two parts - Firstly, PATCH, where participants are invited to take part in workshops to come up with their own protest slogans and appliqué these slogans onto clothes. Secondly, PICNIC, where participants are invited to don these clothes and have a sit-in at Hong Lim Park. Under Singapore’s staunchly anti-protest laws, how can one make their voice heard? Through this project, the artist aims to make viewers and participants aware of their own capacity to rebel.It’s About Time
